Visitors are ALWAYS welcome!

This past weekend we had a wonderful visit from my sister Laura Lee. We had such a great time and did so many fun things in just a few short days! The boys loved going to see Toy Story 3!
Picnics at the park!
And a day at Littleton Farm where Jeff decide to see how close a cow could get to sweet little Avrey's face!! Hopefully no Mad Cows disease from kisses!!

We had such a great time and can't wait for Laura to come see us again!

I LOVE this picture for so many reasons! I don't know how many times a day I say "Please do not.." but I think it is enough to have a shirt made!
The weekend before that we had another wonderful visit with my parents and sister Kelly. We were having a nice heat wave but we were able to enjoy the shade at the park.
Trey also conquered the monkey bars all by himself.
Avrey was full of smiles and giggles for Kelly and Grandma!
Kaden loved reading books with grandma!
Trey enjoyed playing swords with Grandpa. It looked a little like David and Goliath but they had a great time!
We also took a delicious tour of Hammond's Candy factory. They make handmade candy canes, suckers and marshmallows dipped in carmel and chocolate. 2 wonderful weekends in a row and we can't wait for all of them to come back again!

Garden Of The Gods

In Colorado Springs there is a fun place called Garden of the Gods which is a whole bunch of red rock. We spent an afternoon there hiking around and enjoyed a fun picnic.

It was so cool to see the beautiful red rock surrounded by all the green trees. Did I mention I love colorful Colorado?
I love this picture of Kaden being so sneeky and hiding between the rocks!
Our little dare devil Trey loved all the rocks to climb on.

Air Force Academy

A few weeks ago we spent the morning checking out the Air Force Academy. The boys were fascinated with all the cool planes.

Kaden loved listening to the men marching and for the rest of the day kept saying, "left, left, right, left." Now if the boys would only listen to us that good!! ;)
Cadet Chapel was such a beautiful building inside and out. Trey kept saying he wished our church looked like that. Inside the windows were lined with beautiful stain glass windows that looked so cool with the sun shining through!

WARNING!!

Excuse me, I thought I lived by the mountains? We got this alert on Sunday afternoon and seriously I thought it was a joke.
A few minutes later the wind started blowing and it started pouring rain. Shortly after that we heard loud sound pelting the window and realized it was dime size hail. The boys didn't like it until it was finished and then wanted to go out and build a snowman.
Here is proof that it was hailing hard enough to chip the paint off the side of the house! CRAZY!

Happy 4th Of July

What a great 4th of July weekend! We spent Friday night out with our new neighbors enjoying some fireworks!
Saturday morning our ward had a yummy pancake breakfast and bike parade. Kaden decided to ride with a friend instead of his scooter!
Trey loved the bike parade but thought it should be a race instead!
That afternoon we had some great friends from our ward over for a fun barbeque.
Our cute little firecracker!
The kids loved staying up late for the fireworks!

As you can see the boys had a great time and literally passed out when we finally got home!

Delicious Fun

This past weekend we headed up the canyon to Winter Park, CO for the Chocolate Festival! This was the perfect place for us...a live band for the boys and loads of chocolate samples for us!

We also got to meet America's favorite gum chewer Violet Beauregarde from the movie Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory! I got her to sign my DVD case right by Mike Tee Vee's autograph. (Yep I'm a dork!)
The boys got a kick out of the Oompa-Loompas!
I think everyone should have a chocolate fountain at their house. The boys enjoyed dipping pretzels & doughnuts!

We sat and watched for a train by this really old tunnel. Of course one came 10 minutes after we walked away! We had a wonderful time and got to try a lot of really great chocolates! We will for sure be heading back up next year!
On another day we went up a different canyon and had a picnic lunch and went for a little hike. Avrey LOVES to be held so thank heavens for the baby carriers.
The hike was less then a mile but you would have thought we were making the boys cross the plains. I guess we need to work on our hiking skills!
It was a warm day so we got the boys hair wet and let them sit in the shade for a bit. Kaden was not a big fan of the wet hair and wore his sweatshirt the rest of the way! It has been a lot of fun exploring so many beautiful new places!
Today is a monumental day for our family! Today is Dr. LeCheminant's first day of work at the Denver VA hospital! After 4 years he is finally getting paid instead of paying them!! This is the hospital Jeff will spend most of his time at over the next three years.
