Rain, Rain Go Away!

It has been raining here for the last 2, almost 3 weeks. There were two days when the sun came out which are the two days the boys were too sick to go out. We are literally SICK of being inside. Luckily, Dr. Trey came to the rescue and prescribed some great ideas for keeping us busy!
Up close and personal! The boys got a new magnifying glass and love going on exploring adventures. I'm not sure but if you look close enough I think Trey is happy??

While waiting for the rainbow to come out we had a day where we learned about colors. Trey had so much fun mixing food coloring and then we painted things for each color.

Our first try at a blanket fort was a huge success. The boys loved it! Kaden pulled his box of books in there and spent the afternoon looking at all of them!

Trey & Kaden love playing games on the computer. Trey does all of the playing and Kaden does a lot of pointing. I love watching them play together and having something to entertain them while I make dinner. Hopefully our next post will include sunshine!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Happy Valentines Day!! I am always to excited on the holidays to wait all day so we always seem to celebrate at breakfast time. We had the table all decorated so the boys were so excited when they came downstairs!
Puppy love from Gram & Grandpa LeCheminant! Thank you the boys loved them.

So in case you didn't know Jeff LOVES baseball!! Since Valentines is all about our loves we thought we would share some of that love with the boys and get them a baseball tee. They loved it although it has been raining for a week so we have been hitting it in the house and I am not really loving that but, I am sure it will be fun once we can take it to the park!!
We also treated ourselves to some delicious "Heart Attack" pancakes! Actually it is the homemade syrup that will give you a heart attack but it is so dang good it is totally worth it!
For weeks Trey has been asking me if he can drink buttermilk so I finally told him he could for Valentines day thinking he would forget about it. Of course he didn't so as soon as we were done opening gifts he went and got a cup and asked for his buttermilk. Well the pictures explain the rest!!
-BEFORE-
-AND AFTER-
I felt really bad cause I knew he wouldn't like it but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen!

The Bush Man

Here is Trey pretending to be the Bush Man! If you read my previous post this picture will make more sense. The Bush Man, by the way, is an apparent homeless man who dresses up like a bush down at the Wharf in SF and tries to scare people. Almost every visitor we have had we have scared them with him so we have had many laughs!

One "Wicked" Weekend

Most people laugh when I say 'I love my mother-in-law' but seriously, I have the world's greatest mother-in-law!! Last weekend Jeff had to go to Florida for an APMA Conference and in case you don't know, I hate being alone. So Jeff's mom Jan came out with her friend Liz to "take care" of me and I was spoiled instead. The first night they were here we went and saw 'Wicked' in at the Orpheum Theater in SF. It was amazing!! I totally recommend it to anyone and everyone who can get tickets. Thanks again Jan it was an awesome night!

Saturday we spent some time in SF mostly down at the Wharf. Trey loves it down there! All the trains and the crazy musicians it was like a dream come true for him. One of his favorite things to do is watch the Bush Man scare people as they are walking by. So later that weekend we took Liz to see the Oakland Temple and as we were walking around the top looking at the views all of the sudden Trey was no where to be seen. We started yelling for him and all we hear is " I'm the bush man!" We started laughing because we couldn't see him until he jumped out from the bushes to scare all of us! Thanks again for such a wonderful visit & we'll see you again soon!
