Happy Easter & Spring Break

Easter weekend we had a fun little Easter egg hunt at a park near our house. Kaden kept calling the Easter bunny 'Big Bird', I think you can see why!!
The Easter Bunny also brought another wonderful surprise! Jeff's family came for Spring break. It was so much fun to spend the week with them. The boys loved that they scored 2 Easter egg hunts!!
Gram is without a doubt Trey's best friend. I tend to get demoted when she comes but it is totally worth it to see that smile on his face. However now that Trey is getting older he is way more emotional when they have to head home. This time was rough! He cried for two days after they left and if we ever said 'Gram' he would start all over again. 4 days after they left we stopped at Target and when we went to get out of the car he was crying in the back. I asked him what was wrong and he said, 'Target just makes me miss Gram even more'. :(

A friend of ours works at Pixar so he was gracious enough to take us on a tour. It was so cool to see what all really goes into making these movies. Even though my Mr. Incredible couldn't be there with us I am thinking this will make a great Christmas card!!

One of the biggest high lights of the week was going to the A's vs. Red Sox game. It was actually the coldest game in A's history but still a lot of fun. Kaden stayed warm by sitting on the ground in between us and Trey stayed warm because he never sat still. He was dancing and yelling the whole game. Such a fun week!

Giants Game

A few weeks ago we got invited to a Giants game with our good friends Paul & Suzy. It was Paul's birthday as well as their twin girls' first birthday so we all had a great time. AT&T Park is so awesome and who can pass up great baseball?!

Trey's 4th Birthday Party

Although Disneyland was amazing every little boy needs a birthday party right?? Trey picked to have a Lightning Mcqueen birthday this year. That combined with some of his friends makes for an awesome birthday party!
We started off with all the kids painting their own race cars! While the cars were drying we raced hot wheel's cars on a race track. I even got checkered flags for the kids. It was pretty cute!

Since I am not so good at cake decorating we had cupcakes and piston cup sugar cookies instead.
Present time! Trey was so cute and got so excited about every present. This is my favorite picture. I don't know if you can tell but he is trying to play the present like a guitar and low and behold it was a guitar!! He was so excited and has not stopped playing it since he got it!

Disneyland Trip

This year for Trey's 4th Birthday we decided to surprise him with a ticket to Disneyland. He was so excited!! So the day after we got back from Utah we hurried and unpacked, repacked, and got in the car and we were on our way! Trey could hardly wait as we walked up to the gates. He knew right off it was going to be a perfect day since the first thing he saw was the train!
It's been 10 years since I have been to Disneyland, and I forgot how magical it is there.  Since it was Trey's birthday they gave him a pin to wear that said 'Happy Birthday Trey' so all day the workers were wishing him a Happy Birthday!

I don't know if we could narrow down a favorite ride, however, Buzz Lightyear was pretty awesome! That was the first ride we went to and we ended up getting off and getting right back on 5 times and then coming back later in the day and riding it 3 more times!
Riding the caboose of the Casey Jr. Train!
The birthday boy picks out a treat...Cotton Candy of course!!
At the start of the day I said that I really wanted to ride 'It's A Small World'. Jeff started laughing because he thought I was kidding. HELLO it is a Disneyland classic. I should have made him ride it twice just for making fun of me!! :)
That evening we watched the celebration parade. Trey was in heaven! All of the characters were singing and playing guitars when out of the blue one of the dancers comes over and pulls Trey and some other kids out to be a part of the parade. He was so excited!
Kaden loved all of the rides so much we couldn't even get him to sit in the stroller.
That night there was a wonderful show of fireworks, but we thought since we had been there all day that the boys were done. So, we asked Trey what he wanted to do and still so excited he said he wasn't tired, but his legs just hurt. So we sat down on the sidewalk and 5 minutes into the fireworks both boys were sound asleep!
With both boys completely passed out we slowly walked down main street wishing the day wasn't over yet.  A dream is a wish your heart makes, when your fast asleep!! Happy Birthday Trey!

Utah Visit

Two weeks ago we traveled back to Utah to see Jeff's younger brother Nic return home from serving a mission in Louisville, Kentucky. It was so fun to be there with everyone and for Kaden to meet him for the first time!
When we came back from the airport some friends of Jeff's mom had come and decorated their lawn with smiley face plates and balloons...the boys LOVED it! The next morning we were cleaning them up and Trey let one of the balloons go and laid down to watch it fly away. I walked over and he said, 'Mom this is such a beautiful earth'. For the next hour we sat and let every balloon go one by one!
The boys sure loved having another uncle around to play with. Trey was most excited when he found out how cool uncle Nic is because he has a guitar!

After spending a few days with Jeff's family, he headed back home while the boys and I stayed for a few extra days to spend time with my family. All of my siblings had come into town and we had a wonderful girls night on Friday staying up talking until 5:00 am and then we woke up at 7:00 am for some spring cleaning at my parents home. My family grew up working in the yard together so it made for a wonderful weekend of all of us being together again!

Point Bonita Light

A few weeks ago we spent a Saturday morning out at Point Bonita Lighthouse and at some old army bunkers in Marin Headlines. The boys loved playing hide and seek in the bunkers and getting dirty, of course!

Our little climbing Kaden was not a huge fan of the lighthouse since we wouldn't let him climb on the railings. There was something about the shear cliffs on the other side that made me worry??? Maybe Kaden was just mad since he saw Trey climbing on the railings right next to a sign that says 'DO NOT CLIMB ON THE RAILINGS'!!

The lighthouse was so beautiful. There was an old suspension bridge that we had to cross which was a little scary in the wind. They only let two adults cross at a time so we had to wait a while to cross, but it was worth it!
