We Just Can't Get Enough!

We just can't seem to get enough of this beautiful girl! Recently, she has found her smile and it is so stinking cute. Although it's not your typical all white blessing dress she looked darling and is a true blessing to our family.

Could that dimple be any more cute?

Our favorite is when she wakes up from a nap and you go to get her out of bed. She always gets a big smile on her face once she sees you!
She has also found her thumb and seems to be enjoying that as well!
The boys love her so much that I am scared they're going to smoother her! Trey is quite protective as he loves to hold and sing to her. Jeff heard him singing 'I Am A Child Of God' and walked in to the living room to see him dressed like this. Funny but still pretty cute!

Our house is a very fine house!

We are officially unpacked and are ready for visitors! (HINT, HINT!) We have been here for about 2 weeks now and people seem to be so surprised when we tell them we are all done with the unpacking. When we got here we moved all the furniture inside and then moved all the boxes into the garage. It was so much easier to bring boxes in 1 or 2 at a time and we were able to get both cars in the garage after a week.
A view of the kitchen & dinning area.
Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms and then we also have a basement that is half finished which makes a wonderful storage / toy room!

I think our favorite part of the whole house has to be the back yard. The boys have had so much fun out there. Their feet are literally turning green from running around on the grass so much. We also scored an awesome deal on patio furniture at Target and so we basically eat every meal out there as well!
The biggest change we have faced is having a yard to take care of and we LOVE it! The boys didn't know what to think about the sound of a lawn mower at first but then thought it was really cool and want to mow the lawn every day! We feel so blessed to be where we are at and feel so welcome here. Our ward and neighborhood are so friendly we look forward to the years we will spend here!

Loving Colorful Colorado

We survived the move to Colorado this weekend. This is our 6th move and the first time Jeff and I packed the truck by ourselves. The drive here was beautiful and after living in the brown shades of New Mexico I was really excited when I saw this sign. (Sharleen, I love you!!)
Since we will be here for at least three years the most exciting thing is rather than storing them we will FINALLY be getting rid of all the boxes!
The boys loved riding in the big truck with Jeff. The morning we took it back Kaden cried for over an hour.
The kiddos have been so helpful by taking longer naps and playing outside so we can get all unpacked and situated.
As you can see we are all very tired but have gotten a lot done. Hopefully by this weekend we will be done and I can post some pictures of the new place. I guess it turns out the binki works as well for Jeff as it does for Avrey!

Celebration of Blessings

After 4 years, and a lot of hard work, last week we had the opportunity to attend Jeff's graduation from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University. We are all so proud of him and this wonderful accomplishment.
Graduation was held at the Paramount Theater in downtown Oakland. The outside is reminiscent of the 1920's, with the inside full of murals and exceptional design.
The boys enjoyed watching movies on Gram and Grandpa's iPods during the ceremony.
It's official....DOCTOR LeCheminant!!
I couldn't stop smiling; I am so proud of Jeff and all of his hard work!
We were so happy that Jeff's family came with us. For some reason I didn't get a picture of the whole group but his brother's Derek, Nic and Jason with his son Mo also joined us as well. They have all been a great support over the years and it was so nice to celebrate with them!
After the ceremony we enjoyed lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in Walnut Creek. Jeff's parents gave him a very fancy 'LeCheminant' brand watch. Yes, it's a real company out of England.
When Jeff started school I had Trey put his footprint on a card with the saying, "In the end it will be worth every step". That has proven to be true as we have added two additional footprints since school started so the kids gave their dad a very fitting book!
The night before graduation Jeff and I attended the Doctor's Graduation Ball that was held at the Claremont Resort in Berkeley. What a beautiful hotel, plus dinner was delicious.

Little miss Avrey joined us at the ball. She was so good and everyone loved seeing her. Thank you to Kelley, Jaimi and Sarah for the darling dress; she really was the bell of the ball!
It was so nice to go back and visit our bay area home. We loved living there, and minus the cost of living we really miss it. Gram and Avrey enjoying the sun at Crissy Field in San Francisco.
Grandpa and Kaden watching the boats!
We also had the chance to celebrate Grandma Chem's (Jeff's grandma) 80th birthday while we were there. She is an amazing woman and I am so glad we got to be there. Avrey is the first great-grand daughter in their family so it was very special time for all of us!

Before heading to CA we went to Utah for a week to introduce Avrey to her extended family. While we were there we had the opportunity of blessing her. For some reason in all the craziness I didn't get a picture of just her so I need to do that! As she was being blessed I realized one of her greatest blessings is her extended family. I feel so fortunate that my children have great loving examples from all of their aunts, uncles, and grandparents!
Avrey was encircled by Uncle Jason, Grandpa LeCheminant, Uncle Kris, Uncle Spencer, Grandpa Gillespie, Great Grandpa Peterson, her dad, Uncle Matt, and Great Grandpa Bellows.

Altogether we drove more than 2400 miles and although the time in the car was very long we feel so blessed. It is an amazing time in our lives right now and we are so glad that many of you could be with us. We love you! Now...on to Denver!

Pre-School Graduation

It also happened to be Jeff's last day of work at the VA hospital so we went to Sonic for ice cream to celebrate!
