Pretty Dang Cute

So normally I am not one to brag about the cuteness of our kids but sometimes I can't help myself!! I took these pictures of the boy's for a book that we made for Jeff for Father's day and they were just to cute not to share. This one of Kaden is my favorite!
I love this one even though neither of them are actually looking at the camera. Trey and Kaden have become such great buddies. It is so fun to watch them play and no one can make Kaden laugh as hard as Trey can.
Yep he's cute!!
Trey is always so happy that some times I worry that his smile is just going to take over his whole face.
Yep still cute!! I am very lucky to have such adorable boys and very blessed to have such a loving wonderful husband. I think we make a great little team!!

Our Thomas Adventure

With 2 weeks of finals for Jeff I thought it would be a good time for me and the boys to take a trip back to Utah. I had a good friend getting married and truth be told I can live without the stress of finals!! It just so happened that Thomas the Train would also be visiting Utah at the same time which is perfect for our little train obsessed Trey. We decided not to tell him what we were doing instead we told him we were going on an adventure. He was so excited that his Gram and Uncle Derek were going to be joining us as well. That morning for breakfast Gram, Jeff's mom, gave the boys Thomas shirts and we headed out the door. We stopped for lunch at a little train themed restaurant called Dairy Keen where they have a small train that drives around the ceiling. With Thomas in town that weekend they had changed the train to Thomas and when Trey saw that you would have thought that was the big adventure. He started screaming 'THOMAS, THOMAS" as if he had just found his long lost brother! When it was time to go Trey was not very happy so I picked up a flier about Heber Valley Railroad to get him into the car. As we drove away he started looking through it and saw Thomas in there and said, "Mom I want to find this Thomas train so I can ride on it". I turned to him and said "you know what we should find that train", and that is just what we did!
We drove down the road looking for a place to park when Trey saw Thomas. I hurried and turned around to capture this moment of Trey once again yelling, "THOMAS...I SEE THOMAS!" The expression on his face obviously requires very little explaining.
I think this is probably what Trey pictures Heaven to be like!!
A Thomas tattoo that ended up staying on his face for a whole week later!
As we road the train I found out that we might have 2 train fans after all. Kaden was so excited and loved being on the train. He stood up on the seat the whole ride looking out the rails. It was adorable.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

We are 0% Mexican but 100% fans of Mexican food so Jeff and I thought it would be fun to have a Cinco de Mayo party. We got together with a few families from our ward this past weekend and had wonderful food, swimming and a piniata of course.
Despite Kaden's dislike to baby food he sure seems to like anything and everything that we are eating. I guess he really wanted Jeff's cantaloupe!

Oh Gee A Little Pee!!

Potty training Trey has been a long road for him and me. He has actually been really excited about it and so proud of himself every time he goes potty. I have been lazy and not pushed it as much as I should just because pull ups are so convenient especially for those days filled with endless errands. Trey had kept a pull up dry for a couple of days so I thought we were good to go as I found myself letting him wear his new "Thomas the Train" underwear.  He was doing so good all day until he feel asleep during quiet time. I found myself watching the clock and as each half hour went by I was checking the couch for wet spots. After two hours Trey rolled over falling off the couch but remained asleep. Moments later he sat straight up and yelled "OH GEE". I raced over to him and with the sleep dust still in his eyes he stood up and said, "I spilled!"

Take 2-Visitors Always Welcome!

Just 24 hours after the Anderson's departed we were on our way to the airport to pick up Jeff's younger brother Derek. He decided to spend his spring break with us and we were more than happy to have him. He was staying with us for the week and during that same time my sister Laura Lee and her friend, practically a sister to me, Deah came out as well. At first this seemed to be an interesting mix of visitor's but honestly it was perfect. Laura and Deah are little kids trapped in grown up bodies. Although Jeff was stuck in the classroom we had a great day in the city where we spent time in Chinatown, saw a spectacular view from Coit Tower and of course mad a stop at Fisherman's Wharf. SHOUT OUT to the bushman...thanks for scaring the pants off Derek!!
It doesn't matter who is visiting our favorite stop in the city is Ghirardelli Square. YUMMY!!
Trey's new friends in Chinatown!
For guys night out Jeff and Derek went to an A's game. They bought the cheap ticket's but got a free upgrade because the ballpark was practically empty.
During the time they were all here we had fun swimming, playing games and watching movies. We all enjoyed a relaxing night watching 'Dan In Real Life', funniest movie ever! We then spent the rest of the weekend listing to Derek sing his version of 'Ruthie Pig Face Draper'.
On the last day we were together we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the Lafayette Reservoir. Deah captured this photo of Trey & Derek that I absolutely love. They are such great buddies and I hope they always will be. To Laura, Deah and Derek thank you for the wonderful visit. We love you and hope to see you again soon!

Anderson Sightings

We have had a house full family visitors for the past two weeks which has been so much fun. The first week we were lucky to have my oldest sister Kim and her family plus Alexis' friend Morgan here from Washington. Their kids happened to have Spring Break the same week as Jeff so we knew it was fate telling us to spend it together. We actually had them staying with us and since we didn't get any pictures of them in our place try to imagine 11 people in a 2 bedroom, 1100 square foot apartment?? Yeah it was tight, but the amount of fun we all had together because of the tight quarters is something that we can't describe. We did everything we possibly could in San Francisco from Fisherman's Wharf and the Bay Aquarium, Chinatown, and a quick stop in Haight Ashbury to our favorite little mexican place and the older girls loved the shopping here too. We did manage get the world famous "Bush Man" at Fisherman's Wharf to scare Morgan which was hilarious. We also had a couple of days to relax so Jeff and Brad got a round of golf in while Kim and I took the kids to the pool. Our nights were spent watching American Idol and Brian Regan DVD's which was great. Mostly we were just flattered that they decided to suffer through a 12 hour ride in the car in order to spend their break with us of all people. We could not have had any more fun, and the company as always was what we enjoyed the most. We love you guys and hope to see you again soon!

A stop at Powell's Candy store was the highlight for the boys!!
Luckily there was no fog so we all enjoyed a view from Golden Gate Bridge!

We took a tour at the Jelly Belly factory which was a hit. It was fun to see how they make them and to walk away with samples of all the wonderful flavors.
A stop at the Cable Car Museum looks a little more like a one way ticket on the Crazy Train!!

Beautiful ladies in front of the Painted Ladies! We had a picnic at Alamo Square talking about our favorite "Full House" moments.
A stop at Golden Gate Park is always a must when you visit San Francisco. They just built a new playground that all the kids loved. You can't really tell but the kids are on a huge wave, that's why Jacob has such a cool surfer face!!

Lovin from the oven!!

A few weeks ago I made homemade rolls for a dinner party and everyone was so shocked that I actually took the time to make rolls. So that night I made it my goal to learn how to make as many "homemade" things as I could. Tonight I tried a recipe for French Bread from Jeff's mom and if I say so myself...I think I did a pretty good job!! Derek said I am a dork, and then ate half of it, Jeff, Laura and Deah loved it!!
