Easter Surprises

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Since we have church at 8:30 am we decided to do our easter egg hunt afterwards. It was so nice to do it outside and I have to admit I loved having the kids all dressed up!

We had to break up the colors for the kids because Avrey would only pick up the pink and purple ones!

Once the kids had all the eggs gathered we went inside to open them. In some of the eggs there were quarters with a piece of paper with a letter on it. The kids were a little confused until they realized the letters spelled out Disneyland!! They were so excited when we told them we will be going there this summer!

Pretty In Pink

Our little princess Avrey turned 2!!
Every time we asked Avrey what she wanted for her birthday she said "PINK", so we did just that!
At our house we have a hard time waiting to open gifts! So after we had our pink sparkle pancakes and got our "pretties" on we were set!!

We spent the afternoon at the farm with Avrey's best friend Miss Lisa & her family!

We made sure to finish the night of right with princess pink cake! We are so lucky to have our little princess and love her so much!!

MVP #7

More then anything Trey wanted to celebrate his birthday this year with all of his cousins. Since we were in UT we did just that! We had a big football party and got our MVP suited up right with his own personalized jersey!

That same weekend is also Trey's Uncle Andy's birthday, who turned 42, and his Great Grandpa Bellows who turned 88!
After kickoff we enjoyed a delicious pizza dinner with aunt Laura's homemade root beer!
While Kaden spent a little too much time with the cheerleaders the other kids enjoyed playing football and eating treats from the pinata!
A little "Trey-bowing" at the end of the night was a sign the party was a huge success!
The party was amazing but we couldn't stop ourselves from a little ice cream treat on his actual birthday day!!

Spring Break

For the first week of spring break the kids and I headed to UT to visit family. After 9 hours in the car the boys had ALOT of energy and decided to take it out on Aunt Kelly! When things got a little out of hand Grandpa jumped in and laid the smack down!

Avrey tired from the trip and confused by all the wrestling!
We enjoyed and afternoon with Kelly and Grandma at the Bean Museum.
And a stop at the BYU Creamery for ice cream!
We also enjoyed dinner at Laura's house and sat in the hot tub!
The kids had the most fun with her roommates dog. They were not to sure about him at first and then of course could not leave him alone by the end of the night.
Jeff was able to meet up with us for the weekend so we were able to do some fun things with his family as well. Kaden and cousin Mo are always in costume!
A picnic at the park is always a great way to spend time with cousins!
We ended the trip of right with an early Easter egg hunt with Gram and...
...Grandpa's delicious homemade doughnuts!

Magically Delicious

I am not a huge St. Patty's Day person but some how this year we went all out. The kids and I built a Leprechaun trap the night before.
The next morning the boys were some what disappointed that we did not catch a Leprechaun but delighted that he left them a treat.
We also enjoyed green pancakes with magic syrup...syrup so delicious it's magic!!
The rest of the day was a pretty run of the mill day however, we did finish the day off with a green hostess snowball. By the look on Kaden's face I think he thought it was a real snowball!!

Weekend with Gram

We all love when Gram comes to town! She was able to come a few weekends ago and although it was a crazy week we did find some time to relax and have fun! We spent one afternoon at Garden of the Gods. A fun area of Castle Rock to let the kids run around and be crazy!

We also spent an afternoon exploring downtown Denver. We toured the Mint however you can't take any pictures there. Since we were already there we also took the kids for ice cream at Hard Rock Cafe. We had such a great time and always love when visitors come!

This and That

Looking back I realized I forgot to post a lot of pictures for February! The kids were so excited about the Super Bowl. The boys put their football jerseys on and we enjoyed nachos & mini corn dogs. Good times were had by all!
Trey is all about football these days! I am not kidding he is always holding, coloring, playing or talking about football ALL the time!
Bumblebee, AKA: Kaden, is in uniform ALL the time and most of the time won't answer us unless we call him Bumblebee!
One afternoon we were sitting around when Avrey got up and got a pair of Jeff's basketball shorts. She kept scooting around the floor so finally I asked he what she was doing. She said, "I sledding".
This is not the type of picture a mother likes to see...ever!
